MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Deon and Susan Unthank, administrators of SoGospelNews.com, are proud to announce the addition of Joyce Martin-Sanders (of The Martins) and Blackwood Gospel Quartet as featured performers for the upcoming 8th Annual SoGospelNews Fan Festival.
</p>
<p>
“Our Fan Festival crowd has loved Joyce Martin-Sanders’ performances the past couple years, and we knew they would want to see her again,” mentioned Deon Unthank of SoGospelNews.com.&nbsp; “The Blackwood Gospel Quartet are an amazing group that fans of Southern Gospel all over the country have fallen in love with.&nbsp; We are so excited that both of these artists will be appearing this year.
</p>
<p>
The annual festival is set for July 24-July 28, 2007.&nbsp; This year’s talent contest will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at the River of Life Church in Smyrna, Tennessee.&nbsp; The contest will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will feature judges who are prominent members of the Southern Gospel community, including songwriters, producers, record label executives, artists, and more.

<p>
Tuesday evening’s performers include Booth Brothers, Karen Peck &amp; New River, Three Bridges, Young Harmony, and Shiloh.
</p>
<p>
The Dove Brothers Quartet, Kingsmen, Anchormen, HisSong, Ed Crawford &amp; the Mystery Men Quartet, and Jonathan White will be performing on Wednesday evening of the Festival.
</p>
<p>
Thursday night will feature an evening with Mercy’s Mark, the Freemans, TK &amp; McRae, Everyday Driven, the Browns, and Ann Downing.
</p>
<p>
Blackwood Gospel Quartet, Joyce Martin-Sanders, Sunday Edition, Prophets Quartet, Johnny Minick &amp; Friends, Sharron Kay King, John Lanier, and The Pathfinders will all be featured performers on Friday evening of the Festival.
</p>
<p>
The Festival will close out on Saturday evening with performances from the LeFevre Quartet, The Imperials, King’s Heralds, Kirk Talley, Daryl Williams Trio, Sondra Burnett, and the Quicks.
</p>
<p>
As in years past, this year&#8217;s convention will remain free to the public. A love offering will be taken each night.&nbsp; The 8th Annual SoGospelNews Fan Festival and Talent Contest will be held at River of Life Assembly of God, Smyrna, Tennessee.

&#8220;We are very excited to be featuring these two new groups,&#8221; mentioned Deon Unthank of SoGospelNews.com.&nbsp; &#8220;Not only are both groups excellent musicians,  but they both have a real heart for ministry.&nbsp; We&#8217;ve found that our Fan Festival starts off being a series of concerts, but it ends up five nights of ministry.&nbsp; Our fans have come to expect that from the artists we bring in.&nbsp; TK &amp; McRae and Everyday Driven are artists that don&#8217;t take things like that lightly.&#8221;

This year&#8217;s talent contest will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at the River of Life Church in Smyrna, Tennessee.&nbsp; The contest will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will feature judges who are prominent members of the Southern Gospel community, including songwriters, producers, record label executives, artists, and more.
</p>
<p>
The prizes for this year&#8217;s talent contest are as follows:
</p>
<p>
First Prize - Three days studio time with Square One Studios in Franklin, Tennessee and one full photo shoot and package from Chris Wooten Photography.
</p>
<p>
Second Prize - Three months of radio promotion from the Rick Hendrix Company and a coupon for $200.00 off one full photo shoot and package from Chris Wooten Photography.
</p>
<p>
Third Prize - Ten accompaniment tracks from EZ Keys Soundtracks and a coupon for $100.00 off one full photo shoot and package from Chris Wooten Photography.
</p>
<p>
First, second, and third place prizes will be given in both the Group and Soloist divisions of the talent contest.
</p>
<p>
&#8220;This will be our fourth year to do a talent contest,&#8221; mentioned Deon Unthank of SoGospelNews.com.&nbsp; &#8220;We have some of the best talent enter the talent contest each year, and many of our past winners are really starting to make a name for themselves.&#8221;

The Talent Contest is on the last day of the SoGospelNews Fan Festival, one of Southern Gospel&#8217;s premier multi-day events.

This year, the Festival will be expanding to five nights due to the demand of artists and fans. A Tuesday evening concert has been added.

&#8220;Each year the number of artists that want to be a part of Festival just grows and grows,” said Deon Unthank of SouthernGospelNews.com. &#8220;We had to expand the Festival to five nights in order to fit everyone in this year.&#8221;
